30th anniversary of Camping & Bungalowpark Isábena: a look back at three decades full of adventure and nature

Amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Spanish Pyrenees, Camping & Bungalowpark Isábena is celebrating a very special event: its 30th anniversary! This anniversary is not only a reason to celebrate, but also an opportunity to look back over the last three decades and appreciate the many unforgettable experiences.

Camping & Bungalowpark Isábena was founded by José Badia and his wife Renate in 1995. He wanted to create a place where people could experience the beauty of nature up close. Surrounded by majestic mountains, crystal clear rivers and lush forests, the park offers a variety of activities for all tastes. Whether hiking, cycling, fishing or just relaxing, everyone will find their own personal adventure here. The park’s location is ideal for exploring the stunning flora and fauna of the Pyrenees and enjoying the fresh mountain air.

Over the years, Camping & Bungalowpark Isábena has continually evolved. The first comfortable stone bungalows were added to the original plots around 1999. José, also called Pepe, originally from the Isábena Valley, has been expanding the facilities over the years. More wooden bungalows, 5 mobile homes and in 2006 a large modern swimming pool were added. This was followed by wooden cabins and in 2011 a spa with sauna and jacuzzi.

As Pepe wanted the facility to be sustainable from the start, he installed the first solar hot water systems in the sanitary facilities and holiday homes in 2010. The facility now has five solar hot water systems and a large photovoltaic system for electricity.

A great particularity of Camping & Bungalowpark Isábena is the music. Since the opening, Pepe Badia, who was also a professional musician, has enchanted the evenings with his harp and guitar music. Since then, many guests have brought their instruments and this has resulted in wonderful evenings of music.

Since 2006, his two children Michael and Anna, who have now taken over the business, have also been involved in the company.

The 30th anniversary will be celebrated with a series of celebrations and events. Guests and locals are invited to participate in a variety of activities, including culinary and musical events. These celebrations provide a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the community and make new friends.

Over the past 30 years, Camping & Bungalowpark Isábena has not only created countless memories for its guests, but has also built a close connection with nature and the region. Looking to the future, the park remains committed to continuing to offer its visitors unforgettable experiences and preserving the beauty of the Pyrenees.
